Jose is a seasoned employment law practitioner who practiced for 9 years at Littler Mendelson PC, the nation’s largest employment law firm and was a partner at the firm. During that time, he litigated many cases, from single employee claims to large class action lawsuits involving thousands of employees, both in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration. Jose dedicates a significant portion of his practice to representing both employees and Companies in wage and hour litigation, with an emphasis on collective actions.

Jose regularly represents high level executives in the Valley in disputes with their current and former employers and consistently obtains significant results for them, including settlements in the multiple millions.

As Managing Partner of Macias Rodriguez Adams LLP, he regularly advises and represents employees and employers in various areas including:

  • Class and collective action litigation
  • Wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation lawsuits
  • Wage and hour disputes, compliance, and audits
  • Disability accommodation and leaves of absence

Jose has experience in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. He has successfully represented employees and employers in state and federal courts as well as in arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences.

Jose was born and raised in San Jose, California. A proud son of immigrant parents, he enjoys spending time with his family and English Bulldog, mentoring students who are the first in their families to pursue a legal education and reading the California Labor Code.
